SERENDIPITY COTTAGE

Wisteria showered from lilac bowers
O’er dogwood clothed in cream,
‘Midst banks of bold azalea flowers ……..
Or was it just a dream?

We took a stroll on Dawson Street;
The air was soft and warm,
And, Lo! That oh-so-awesome street
Bewitched us with her charm.

We chanced on an enchanting inn
For lodging all night long.
Its bonnie bird at breakfast then
Sang sweet his sunrise song.

Rejuvenated and refreshed,
We waved and went our way;
But ever, in our memory meshed,
Abides that spellbound day.

If you should chance down Georgia way
When spring is in the air,
In Thomasville you, too, just may
Discover magic there.
